Middle-Saturday Date: Smoothie + Books Of The Dead

I had a busy weekend with ladies' nights--dinners & gatherings--so in between,
Franco and I had an impromptu date on Saturday day.

The zipper on Franco's school backpack broke last week and he's had to carry his book-laden bag all around campus, so we thought we'd go around and search for an inexpensive replacement at Ross. He found one quickly {thank you, Ross!}, and afterwards we headed across the street to Jamba Juice to share a refreshing passionfruit carribean smoothie. I love that it's the middle of November and we can drink a cold smoothie while enjoying the midday sun! Only in California.

We sipped and walked around the shopping center to go into Barnes & Noble again. Franco wanted to find a book he'd heard about called the Egyptian Book of the Dead. A little morbid, methinks... Didn't find the one he was looking for, so we headed home, stopping at a car wash first. Franco taught me how to buff our car down to make it all shiny...wax on, wax off...

I love mid-day dates, especially now that it gets dark at five o'clock in the afternoon--five!

Have a great week! Who's counting the minutes until HP 7 comes out? I've already got our tickets!!
