Write and mail out Christmas cards to far-away family and friends.
I had to limit it to only far-away people to make it easier on myself.
Otherwise it would never get done.

Christmas Advent Calendar: Day 9

One Pregnancy Post A Week: Almost.
I think I've taken a total of a maybe a dozen bona-fide "baby bump" photos since last September (usually taken by yours truly). I never felt the need to record the progress of my, to put it bluntly, 9-month+ journey of constant weight-gain. Maybe I'll regret it later...I'm guessing I won't. But once in a while, I'd be bored or would be wearing a cute outfit and I'd had a camera handy, so I'd take a picture. That's how these two pictures came to be.

One Pregnancy Post A Week: Le Belly Fotos.
I told myself I wouldn't take or post pictures of my weekly pregnancy progress--the self-shot photos of me standing in front of a door/closet/window/wall would not be flattering...so I was happy and grateful when Nichole, a fellow WUCO wife and friend, offered to take some pictures of my little 6 month belly at the Santa Monica Pier. These are some of my favorites, though Nichole posted a few more on her blog. As it was an impromptu shoot, I'm glad I at least wore something that matched!
p.s. the sunset was as beautiful as it looks. And this was during the middle of January...I just love southern California.

Johnson Family Pictures
Here I go again pretending I'm a photographer... =}
This shoot is from a couple weeks back when the Johnson's asked if I could get some shots of their beautiful family. Photograph a picture-perfect family at the historic Camarillo House on a beautiful Saturday afternoon?
Of course I said Yes!
![]() |
The Camarillo House regularly has events there, so we had to skirt around and try to stay out of the way of a wedding going on. |

Aw...sisters. |

Don't they look like angels in their white "princess" dresses? |
I had a lot of fun! Every new photography opportunity is a learning experience for me. I have SO MUCH respect for the real children, family, wedding photographers out there. It's a lot of work, but I can see why people love it so much. You're capturing memories in such a beautifully unforgettable way!

Mustaches!
Photos taken at Girl's Camp last week & made vintage by this picture generator.
{It's in Japanese. Click on English on the top right corner.}
Don't we look dashing in our newly-grown mustaches?
Especially our Bishop Barlow. Nice.

The Waidmanns
I've been taking a crack at photography lately. I love it! I have never taken a class, but I do know photoshop really well, so I thought, why not? Last month I did a little photoshoot for the Waidmann family. We used the CSUCI campus as our backdrop, which is convenient for me since it's steps away from where we live. Brock Waidmann, the oldest son, will be on an NBC show next fall called The Paul Reiser Show. I'm excited to have taken their family pictures! Like I said, I'm a newbie, so don't judge quite too harshly. =)
This next one is my personal favorite. They've got some handsome boys!
Don't worry. I won't quit my day job ;)

Homemade Creme Puffs
The husb's at scout camp for a few more days,
so these morsels of deliciousness are the next best thing
waiting for me at home after work...
No, I'm not sharing.

Beach Photoshoot With My Girls
----------------------------------------------
For our latest Tuesday night YW activity,
we went to Pt. Mugu beach to take some pictures. These girls are as wacky and wonderful as they are beautiful!
I heart them so much.

Deer
For almost six years, I've wanted to take a picture of the occasional sighting of deer by the side of the winding road before entering the CSUCI campus, but either I didn't have a camera with me, I wasn't the one driving, or there were cars around. I finally got the perfect chance sometime last month. There were no cars, I stopped by the side of the road and took a few pictures with my p&s before the doe could get away. I was so close and didn't want to startle her, so I tried to be as conspicuous as possible. I felt like paparazzi.
I love where we live.

Utah + May Wedding: Part 3, The Reception, Decor, Dancing, + Driveaway!
Tired of pictures yet?
Be glad I'm not sharing the entire set of 500 pictures
I took in the five days that I was there!
The May/Brady reception was beautiful.
Singing, toasts, dancing...
it was a perfectly happy day for a perfectly happy couple...
and it ended with a roar!
{The roar of a motorcycle getaway vehicle, that is!}
Mi mamita bonita.
My cousin Michelle, Ed's sister, made and decorated the cake.
German chocolate~ *melts*.
Subtle details throughtout made this celebration really special.
Okay, here's a cool part.
Remember a while ago I posted about a song I heard of which I couldn't find who the singer was?
Apparently Rachel is friends with her so she sang at their wedding!
She's coming out with an album soon.
I also think this dynamic duo should come out with an album of their own.
They've got the stuff!
I think I'll spare you the rest of the pictures.
I was so glad I got to travel to their wedding
and now I'm looking forward to
Ed's little brother's wedding, Kevin, in July!
This time I'm making Franco go with me.
It's sad not having a dance partner at a wedding.
Have a wonderrific weekend!
