Movies We Watched During Break.

I'll admit I didn't know who Julia Child was before hearing about this movie.
So what I thought about the movie comes from incredibly fresh perspective.
I like Amy Adams. I like Meryl Streep.
I'm not sure if I liked their characters.
But, the storyline was great~I enjoyed the scenes of Paris, and of course, loved the food.
And all the talk about blogging is so true!
I would never do something like Julie did, but wow, I was really impressed.
I liked this movie.

My friend Rosie came to visit on New Year's Day from Idaho and she recommended this movie to us.
We watched it and were a little thrown back at first,
but it's really just an endearing story about a nice yet delusional guy who buys a fake girl on the internet.
He's had a traumatic life and his family and friends want to help him get through his delusion.
It would be a very odd, serious movie if it weren't for some hilarious parts and some parts that make you go, "Aww."
I liked this movie, too.

LOL! "Lars and the Real Girl" was the first movie Shanam and I ever watched together. LOL! We were at his grandma's house and it was one of the only movies she had! It was VERY interesting and we couldn't remember the name of it! So thanks for posting!

I agree with you completely about Julie and Julia. Their characters were, I believe, supposed to be likable (Meryl) and relatable (Amy). But they really weren't either for me. And I like both actresses too. Mainly a disappointment, all around.

Bethany- you're welcome! how funny that his grandma had this movie. i never would have heard of it if rosie hadn't told me about it. it was worth it.

Krystal- so true. i don't think i'll ever get the image of amy adams in a princess dress singing about cleaning to mice regardless of what role she plays.

I haven't seen Lars & the Real Girl but I keep hearing about it. Maybe I'll have to check it out sometime.

I liked Julie & Julia. I wasn't blown away by it like some people were but I did enjoy it.
