The best part about living here is how close we are to some of our favorite places.

>> 30 mins from Disneyland
>> 45 minutes from downtown L.A.
>> 1 hr 30 mins from San Diego
>> 45 minutes from Newport Beach

We took advantage of that fact and headed down to Newport Beach last week. After going to the temple, we drove to the marina and did the Newport Beach thing--took the ferry to Balboa Island, got some frozen bananas, walked along the boardwalk, and watched the waves crash onto the shore. (Apparently there was an emergency in the water so no one was allowed to go in past the wave breaks.)
Ahh, vacation. How I will miss you these next four years!

LOVE these pics. You are very talented! Love your style. Glad you hear you guys are having SO much fun! We hope to be there with you soon!!!! Western is Michael's number 1 choice, so hopefully we can be there with you next summer!
