Quick Christmas Craft

To make up for cheating on my goal for a handmade Christmas,
{I bought a few presents...
sometimes it's just too hard to make something for someone
when you know what they really want}

I whipped up some...I don't even know what to call them.
Toilet Paper Roll Favors?
Christmas Crackers?
TP Rolls Filled With Chocolate?

Whatever they are, this is what they look like:

Here's how I made them:

Supplies:
Toilet Paper Roll, without the TP =)
Tissue paper
Wrapping paper
Ribbon
Scissors
Tape
Gluestick

{1} Measure & cut out a rectangle from the tissue paper that will fit on the inside of the tp roll.
{2} Put some glue around the outside edges of the roll and bend the edges of the paper, smoothing out the inside as best you can.
{3} Measure & cut out a rectangle from the wrapping paper to fit around the roll, leaving a few inches on each side to tie with ribbon later.

{4} Center the roll on the wrapping paper and tape down one edge.
{5} Wrap the paper around the roll and tape down the other edge.
{6} Cut out some ribbon and carefully tie it on one side of the roll close to the edge of the roll.
{7} Find some candy and/or chocolate that will fit inside the roll! {I found out too late that the Ghirardelli peppermint bark does not fit =( Oh, well, more for me.}

{8} Drop the candy into the open side of the roll until it's full. Tie the other end with ribbon and you're done.

I made a bunch of these for Franco's home teaching families. I hope they like them! They look so cute, and I had all the supplies laying around the house. It was really hard to resist eating all the candy, though.
Merry Christmas!
