Hallow's Eve

The day before Halloween we went to a Halloween party in Oxnard.

We used to attend that ward last year--the Spanish-speaking congregation.

We love to go to their holiday celebrations because there's always good music & dancing!

Our family and friends are also there so we love to visit often.

I love Shekendra's skeleton costume. It was adorable!

I didn't get a picture of her mom, Iris, but she & Randy were dressed as dead people.

Mayra was a nurse & my mother-in-law made

I hoped that people would know where my costume was from

and was surprised at how many people did know.

Some thought I was a pirate, but I just told them that I was a vampire slayer.

I went after all the vampires in the room...

here I am slaying Yesi.

Jonathan, Franco's brother, was a wounded soldier & his wife, Mayra, was his nurse. Cuuuute.
I gave up trying to make Franco match with me.
He just doesn't get it...

Pepe's costume was so great~ a smurf!
I love homemade costumes.
Oh, and Franco also recycled his Mad Scientist costume from two years ago.
He modernized it, though, with some stylin' wheels.

Aaliyah was so tired towards the end of the night that...

To almost perfectly quote Hades from the movie Hercules,
"We danced, we kissed, we schmoozed, we carried on, we went home happy.
What do you say? Come on."

I don't think I've ever put up a video on here with me in it.
