Calabasitas

"Calabasa" means "pumpkin" in Spanish.
"Calabasita" is "little pumpkin."
Isn't this little pumpkin cute?

I haven't been to a pumpkin patch for...well, a really, really long time.
When the Porters, my brother- & sister-in-law, invited us to go with them last night
I said of course!
It was dark, even though it was only like 6:30, and we didn't end up getting a pumpkin.
But it was cute to take pictures and just watch Sheky in her pumpkin costume.

Towards the end of the night Shekendra started blowing raspberries, probably because she was bored and because we wouldn't let her eat the hay.
The funny thing was that she kept doing it...nonstop, for about 5 minutes!
It was really funny.

Here she is raspberry-blowing in Franco's face:

This is the first year ever I don't have a Halloween costume.
I don't think it's because I've grown out of Halloween~
at least, I hope not! I love Halloween!

Do you have any quick costume ideas for me?

There's a Harvest Carnival tonight and a Halloween dance on Friday night,
but I've got nothing planned for actual Halloween,
and I doubt we'll get any trick-or-treaters.
So should I even dress up?

So cute! I'm always a fan of at least doing something small to dress up, if you aren't a fan of dressing up lots.

Like on Martha Stewart she did this cute head band with little bats on wires that looked like they were flying around her head. Or a little spider pill box sort of hat, or butterflies on a hairband and some gold glitter. Just a little something that says I'm festive but not someone who is dressing up.
