On Sunday, I lost our phone. I found it again after saying a prayer and walking through cold, wet grass on Monday at 6:30 am. I call it "our" phone because Franco & I share one cell phone. We have a house phone, too, but who uses a house phone? We're forced to have one because "the-middle-of-nowhere, Camarillo" apparently doesn't get reception. To make things as cost-effective as possible, we dropped Franco's cell phone about 6 months ago. Having one cell phone isn't too bad.
Since the 1 phone thing went so well, we thought we'd try having only one car. It's hard sometimes, but thankfully, it's worked out pretty well. Franco gets stuck at home without transportation more often than not. But just think of all that money we're saving...
We have one computer, and we live in an apartment that's one big room. So, having only 1 of something for two people works out all right sometimes {I would like to have more than one bathroom, though!}. With cooperation, a little flexibility, and lots of planning, we're realizing what the power of one really means!

We have 2 phones and we are blessed to have 2 cars but we do have one computer and bathroom and it's the one thing I think I would be fine having one of forever. I guess I grew up with one bathroom and one computer so it doesn't seem so bad. (we also have our comp in our main room so it's accessable for everyone)
But it's true cooperation, flexibility, and planning ahead you can do just fine with one of most things.
Good for you! When we moved here we had to cancel Sprint because we couldn't get reception. The only one that seems to do okay, (if you have a better than average phone), is At&T.
