I Heart NY!

I want to go to NYC so bad. I would appreciate any suggestions about what time of the year to visit, and what to see if you only had a few days! Thanks :)

We went in July 2002 (HOT!!), but had a wonderful time visiting the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island; sad visit to the twin towers site; enjoyed walking around downtown & shopping; also had fun going to the top of the Empire State bldg. & riding a motion ride "flying over NYC"...pretty scenery!!;
traveling on the subways; drove to Palmyra for the Hill Cumorah Pageant (AWESOME!!); drove to Niagara Falls - visited on the U.S. & Canada borders - AMAZING!!; I also visited there in Fall of 1989 - beautiful colors on the leaves; enjoyed shopping downtown & rode the train, a taxi cab, and the subways - it's all sooo fun!! Hope you get to go!!

Hey, I found your blog through Emily. :) I think October would be the perfect time....not too hot and not too cold. Bryan and I went there to celebrate our 5 year anniversary a couple of years ago, and we went in the month of December, right before Christmas. We loved seeing all the Christmas decorations, holiday shopping windows, Rockefeller Christmas tree, etc. It was SUPER cold, though, in December. Bryan has gone to New York a lot for work, so he may be a better resource of what to do, but I enjoyed going to Central Park and walking around, going to The Today Show bright and early. I also recommend going up to the 'Top of the Rock' over the Empire State Building (or both if you can afford to). If you go up to the Top of the Rock during sunset, you get the view of the Empire State Building. I guess I better stop writing so long and just tell you in person the fun things to see! :)
