Don't Tell My Brother

But I can't wait to share what I got him for his 14th birthday in a couple weeks. It's this amazing book by Shaun Tan called The Arrival. It's completely wordless and has tons and tons of pages of intricate, mysterious drawings of the world through an immigrant's eyes. I caught Aldrich looking at it at the library and he was completely enthralled by it. I hope it inspires him as he is growing up to be a very creative, imaginative young man. He's in Washington, D.C. at the moment and I'm surprised to hear he hasn't been sent home for any type of mischief...like breaking away from his tour group at the White House in order to find Obama and sell him a custom-painted backpack. Haha. Inside joke.
