Franco calls me Grandma Anelieze. Ok, so crocheting might be an "old lady's" hobby, {pardon any "old ladies" who may be reading this: just to clear things up, I don't think it is, my husband does...blame him!} but I find it very relaxing though it can be very challenging.
Take these booties, for example. I made FIVE booties before I finally made one that fit a baby's foot. The first and second one I noticed my stitches were a little tight and I found out I wasn't even crocheting correctly! So after watching a how-to video on youtube, I made a third one. It fits me. So I made a fourth one, making sure I counted my stitches thoroughly: it fits Franco! Finally, I basically made my own pattern {by this time I was quite familiar with this pattern} and am very happy that they will fit my niece Aaliyah who's 9 months old. I'm very happy.
This one is next on my list:Do you think I can make it? We'll see!

Those booties are SO CUTE! I can't knit at all! And it's totally hip now days- not grandmotherly at all. I can't wait to see how the scarf warp thing turns out!
